What are you watching? What are you reading? What are you listening to? What is trending? The most popular four questions I am asked daily by clients and friends! Well let’s just jump right in…
I am watching on repeat still The Summer I Turned Pretty, but now more so for the easter eggs I may have missed. This goes hand and hand with listening, I listened to all 3 books, if you haven’t listened to them, or read them. Holy hell, they are AMAZING! I am also watching, Love is Blind new season, which is a train wreck that I can never stop watching. I of course cannot not watch the Kardashians, I love Koko. I know a long shot, but did anyone watch the documentary Kelce? It’s really good and it was out before T-swift went to the KC Chiefs game. Yes, I do like football. I am also loving all the new romcom movies lately on Netflix. Loved the latest season of Virgin River, finished that in a weekend. I am also highly enjoying the new American Horror Story. Have you caught up on Only Murders in the Building yet? I do have Yellowstone on my list to start and watch it already! I have a bunch of things of course I love, all the Real Housewives, love good ol fashion trash TV. My show and movie list is turning into my longest ever book list, which I will touch on shortly. With Halloween month approaching, I will be re-watching a lot of Horror flicks!
Let me move on to what I am listening to! So aside from music, I did want to share my podcasts that I am listening to! Not all will be appealing to you, but that is okay, I have a variety I enjoy, let's start off with the Queen…Straight up with Stassi! If you don’t listen, start! Highly entertaining. Then Kristin Cavallari ‘Let’s be honest’. She has an amazing outlook on relationships and has had two guests already. It’s new and has maybe 4 episodes, also she had a show with Stephen called ‘Back to the Beach’. Call her Daddy is by far my favorite, she is a wonderful interviewer and has awesome topics. My two besties have great shows, Pupsibilities & Make it Count. I do love the New Heights (most ladies won’t care for this). Then there are a bunch of business ones, Besties & Business, 10 Minute Beauty Business, Powerhouse Women & The Goal Digger. I do add to this list with other ones based on mood. It depends on what I am feeling like listening too. Music is a melting pot, do I won’t even share that!
Alright the thing you’ve waited for the Book list…
The Summer I turned Pretty, READ THE 3 Books!! Happy Place, Meet Me at the Lake, Getaway Girl, any book by Tessa Bailey, I am in the middle of Funny You Should Ask, The Sinner is next. I do have a LONG list I am working on reading soon.
Trends, but hair & style edition…now what I am seeing a lot of is warmer brunettes, warmer/golden blondes. A lot of red shades & copper tones. Live-in, taking longer to get your hair done. Making each appointment last longer than before. Also, either chop your hair off in a fun texture bob, or a longer length with no layers but a nice face frame. Styles from the late 90s or early 2000’s are really making a comeback. Clips, and less heated styles. Everyone is more relaxed with their hair, it’s almost like covid days. Not many realized that if you chat with your stylist about a budget, they can absolutely accommodate and give you a great style within your budget, knowing they can completely understand and give you an amazing look within your budget.
