March: Watching, Reading, Listening & Trends!

Wow and just like that we are in March! February felt like a lightning fast month! The month was short, so will this post 😀

I was completely in an “enjoy TV shows and movies” kinda mood this month. I will say it made for a great TV show and movie month. I have been enjoying reading again too, the book Icebreakers, such a cute and spicy romcom book, I started One Day (the movie on Netflix was amazing!), I bought ‘Anyone but You’ on Amazon (that movie is amazing and a must watch) & I saw it in the movies first.  I restarted Sex and the City, the classic shows and really helped me to reflect on things and gave me some great ideas and a lot still pertains to current times. I of course am caught up on Vanderpump Rules, all my Bravo shows are of course keeping up with the amazing. I noticed a lot this month that if I had downtime, I made sure to watch something and enjoy it. I rarely have downtime and January was so busy, so it was nice to catch up on all the trash TV and to be honest the most talked about was of course Love is Blind. Like talk about a train wreck you cannot stop watching. There is just so much going on there, it’s wild. I think the experiment can work, it was proven with a few couples in the past. But they need to vet these men a bit better with these terrible pasts. But the messy people make for great trash TV.

I am listening to the same group of Podcasts, Call her Daddy had some great guests and so did Kristen Cavallari’s ‘Let’s be Honest’. Finally Caught up on Straight up with Stassi, I of course caught up on Besties & Business, and working on catching up on a few more development ones: Let’s Go Girls is great, Make Shift Happen & Manifestation Babe.

Wow the trends, okay Y2K style is coming back! I am slightly here for it, I am the type to say that style did nothing for me when it was real time. Now, I can make a nice spin on it to not feel so “old”. The hair is much more lived in, to look natural. Bright blondes, the rich tones for the brunettes to look golden. The Brunettes are loving their natural warmth and embracing it. I am even feeling this and going to get my hair done this month for a Spring refresh! I am also hearing everyone with the weather change that their scalp is feeling dry. That is why I am doing a March Giveaway for a Scalp Facial, my signature Scalpscial. It’s about 90 minutes and we scrub that scalp and make a point to remove buildup. No one has to do anything but receive my newsletter and I will announce the winner on Instagram stories on 3/10 before the Client Styling Class.

I cannot wait to hear what you’re watching, reading and listening too! Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Xo, Shay!
