Let's start my 2nd Blog!

I would like to say this was my first ever blog, but it’s not. I started one in 2020, for all things interior decor, event decor and all things ‘Shay Designs it All’. I know, I have branded my ‘Shay Designs’. I am sure you have read my ‘About me"‘ page, if not, pop over there and learn a tiny bit about me. That will make reading this blog a bit easier to understand. I won’t bore you and repeat it all, but I have my fair share of personal experiences with my own hair and things I have seen in my 15+ years experience to give what I think is best to each client or future client that comes into my salon, which is located in Hazlet, NJ which is in Monmouth County.

I wanted to welcome you to my first blog post as a hairstylist. It's going to be messy, chaotic, and sometimes painful to read, but I hope you see that this will sometimes tie in with my latest posts and be more in depth. I will share my experiences, real life things that have happened to me or that I have seen and my opinions, which sometimes some will not agree with and THAT IS OKAY! I will add tips, tricks and share ‘How-to’s’. This will be where I launch my events in the salon, collaborations, product promotions, inventory sales, announce new products I am loving and some I don’t care for & so much more! I will strive to keep it as honest and real, I want to connect with clients and future clients on a new level. This is going to be the start of where I will soon expand my brand and build something amazing for my clients, future clients, small business owners and anyone who wants to follow along. I will sometimes ask for questions to answer in a post. Then maybe it will grow and become a Podcast (learning that next 😀). I will also make sure I share the low times, because I am an entrepreneur and I want to share when things are not great, because this is going to be real life and night a highlight on an Instagram story. I am so excited for my newest event in the salon and it’s with a local business, HomemadeNJ Candles. Stephanie hosts candle making classes and this Sunday, May 7th is a brunch & mimosa bar. This is going to be the first of many, I want to support local businesses and pop up events. I want small businesses to be able to showcase their products and grow. My salon is a place for me to grow my business, but I want to support others. The link to the class is under my salon event, also will link here.
